Trusted by elite organizations including...
One Program for Every Stage of the Athlete Lifecycle
Money pressure looks different in year one than it does in year ten. Our programs meet athletes where they are, from the first contract to the last game and beyond.
Financial Education Seminars for Teams
Our financial seminars teach the basics of money management, banking, credit, fraud, and taxes. We make these important topics simple to understand so your team can make smart money moves. From budgeting to protecting their finances, we give them the tools they need to succeed both on and off the field.
One-on-One Financial Coaching
Each player gets their own personal financial coach who’s there to help them reach their money goals. We work together to create a plan that’s just for them, giving expert advice and support to build a strong financial future. This is where the training becomes reality, turning their financial goals into smart, lasting moves.
Career Transition Programs for Retiring Athletes
For athletes getting ready to wrap up their careers, we offer a financial literacy program to help make the transition to retirement or life after sports smooth and easy. We give them the tools and knowledge they need to feel confident about their next chapter, whether that's managing money, exploring new careers, or planning for the future.
Financial Education Built for Professional Athletes
Financial Footwork delivers financial education programs to professional sports organizations, including NFL and NBA teams, and has served professional athletic organizations since 2016, with 9+ seasons working inside team facilities alongside player engagement and player development staff. We are educators and coaches, not financial advisers. We don’t sell products or manage money, which is exactly why teams bring us in.
Athletes work hard to stay in top shape. Are they putting the same effort into training their money? Just like in the gym, building financial strength takes the right game plan. At Financial Footwork, we partner with pro athletic clubs and organizations to create financial programs tailored to your team, from rookie orientation through career transition, so your athletes can win on and off the field.
ATHLETIC ORGANIZATIONS BENEFIT
FROM FINANCIAL WELLNESS
Financially stable athletes perform better and carry a stronger mindset into every game. When athletes get their money under control, the stress that follows them into the locker room stays out of it, and their attention stays where it matters most: the game.
FINANCIAL SECURITY
Professional athletes make great money during their careers, but what if they could make sure that money lasts for the future, too? It's about more than just enjoying wealth today. It's about setting up a strong financial future that keeps them secure down the road.
IMPROVED PERFORMANCE
Financial literacy helps athletes take control of their money, cutting out the stress that can distract them. Money problems can mess with their focus, affecting performance both on and off the field. When athletes gain control over their finances, they can fully focus on their training, competitions, and performing at the highest level.
PROTECTION FROM FRAUD
Athletes are in the spotlight, making them easy targets for fraud. Financial literacy helps them spot scams and protect themselves. It also teaches them how to find the right people to manage their money and secure their future.

FAQs About Athlete Financial Education
Is this financial advising?
No. Financial Footwork provides financial education and coaching, not financial advising. We don’t sell financial products, manage money, or take a percentage of anything. That is exactly why teams bring us in: athletes get unbiased education, and organizations get a partner with no vendor conflicts.
What does an athlete financial education program include?
Programs combine team seminars, one-on-one coaching, and career transition support, tailored to your organization. Topics range from money management, banking, and credit to fraud protection, taxes, and long-term wealth building.
When do teams schedule programming?
Year-round. Many organizations run seminars during training camp and rookie orientation, one-on-one coaching through the season, and transition programming in the offseason. We build the calendar around your team’s schedule, not ours.
Who typically brings Financial Footwork in?
Player engagement and player development directors, front offices, league programs, players associations, and agencies. We have worked inside NFL and NBA organizations for 9+ seasons.
Can the program be customized to our roster?
Yes. Every engagement is built around your organization: your roster’s experience levels, your existing player development programming, and your goals. No cookie cutter programs.
Expand Your Financial Wellness Toolkit
Beyond team programming, Financial Footwork delivers keynote speaking for player development events and league meetings, financial wellness seminars and workshops for staff and front office teams, and NIL financial education for university athletic programs building the next generation of professionals.
